Film Review - Draft 3

Film Review - Draft 2 Evaluation

When conducting target audience research on my first draft, I primarily focused on changing the content of the review as that seemed to be the primary area for improvement, however now I feel that the magazine review should challenge convention a bit more in order to be more interesting, appealing and eye-catching to my intended target audience. Ideas that have been thought about are adding a clapper board logo in the top right of the review to challenge conventions of Sight & Sound's normal header layout as now it adds more of a logo and symbol to the page rather than just writing and includes a bit more detail. Another aesthetic change that i believe would successfully challenge conventions and enhance the aesthetic appeal would be to have a different colour box around credits, possibly a gradient of red or grey to keep in theme of the colour palette. Furthermore, conventions could be developed as instead of having text underneath the images, they can be on the polaroid's like this style of font and positioning:

Also, something I noticed I had forgotten to include was the running time, so this must be added and positioned in the fact file bit at the top that gives information about the film like the certificate, director(s) and actor(s). Finally, to challenge conventions there could possibly be something stylist that could be at the start of the paragraphs such as a drop capital.
