An 18 year old girl has an argument with her boyfriend; he
dumps her on the road in the middle of nowhere during lunch/afternoon. She
becomes very surprised to the fact of what has just happen and seems clueless
as she looks around; she begins to sulk with her head in her hands as she sits
on the grass next to the road-side. She becomes restless with little hope and
sits down for a while before she begins to rest her eyes, but falls asleep.
She is woken up surprisingly to bulky black shoes walking
towards her, she gets offered a blanket and he walks back to his car parked up
infront of her. The man walks back to her and he offers a hand that she at
first hesitates but in embarrassment of the situation quickly takes and gets up.
He points her to the car and she seems willing but cautious to the situation. She
begins to give him strange looks but doesn’t say anything and looks down.
Dialogue from the girl (‘urm...’)
Dialogue from the guy (‘I can take you home.’)
She pauses and looks at him and then looks at the car. Then
she looks around and remembers she is in the middle of nowhere, she graciously
answers.
Dialogue from the girl (‘if that’s ok? I can give you
directions.’)
She sits in the car and looks around nervously with thoughts
that she knows this could go bad, but believes in the good intentions of the
man. She has a moment of numb nervousness, but is shaken by a loud bang of the
man’s car door shutting. The man starts up the car and the radio begins to
blast country music, she shuts out her body and looks nervous. The man says
stays stationary and looks at her. She looks back in awkwardness. He unplugs
his seatbelt viciously, looks at her and says ‘safety first’ and reaches for
her seatbelt and plugs it in. She smiles timidly and he plugs his seatbelt back
in and then begins to drive off.
She nudges her head slightly towards him and opens her mouth
but decides not to speak.
Dialogue from the girl (‘I don’t have any money to repay you
for this by the way’)
Dialogue from the man (‘im sure we can sort something out’)
The girl gets her keys from her bag and in her hand ready
for when she gets home. The car journey is very uncomfortable with bumps and
quick bends causing the girl to drop her keys, the country music carries on loud
and she reaches for her keys and as she gets back up she looks ahead of the
road and says (‘next left.’)
