Target Audience Research: Qualitative - Focus Group (The Six Dollar Fifty Man)

1. Did the opening of the film engage you to want to watch more?


2. Do you think it should've lasted longer/ maybe of been a feature?


3. Do you find the characters are interesting? If so, who and why?


4. Were the characters 'realistic'?


5. What issues/problems did you notice in the film?


6. Do you feel the issues/problems were clear?


7. How would you describe the mood of the film?


8. How did you feel towards Andy?


9. Do you think the film explores Andy's disability well?


10. Do you think that the film represented Andy's piers and teachers etc. in an unfair way?


11. Do you think that the perspective that this film chose (from the POV of a mentally disabled child) created an interesting way to show mental disability?


12. Due to challenging conventions of social realism with surrealism, do you believe that it created a 'true to life' representation of disability?
