Bins are where we store footage.
More than one bin depending on the footage and therefore allows us to differentiate between the multiple categories - this can be used if you have different footage for example actual shots and then shots that are there purely for sound.
The left screen is for raw footage.
] = Mark in
[ = Mark out
Blue line = insertion point
Yellow arrow button = splice in
Red arrow button = overwrite
Watch the clip for to see if you're happy with it
When pressing splice in, it allows you to move the selected footage into the timeline.
When pressing overwrite, it overwrites footage that is already in the timeline.
Trim Mode
Left screen = the end of the shot
Right screen = the start of the shot
Trim mode allows a lot more precision
The single arrows = 1 frame
The double arrows = 10 frames
If the pink bars are on both sides, I am affecting both clips
'Add Edit' adds a cut into the clip, this will be used if I want to put a reaction shot in etc.
Assembly edit is putting the clips down in a rough form in story board order.
